Named in homage to the creek that runs alongside the cottage and outdoor areas, the Creekside Cottage is a cozy and delightful home-away that accommodates up to 5 guests. It welcomes you to an open main floor featuring a chefs kitchen, dining space, and cozy seating area with a gas fireplace. An entry/mud hall separates the living space from the luxurious bathroom and primary bedroom, generously sized with a king bed and closet. The cozy loft features a double bed and a twin daybed, as well as a dresser for clothing storage.
Just beyond the large French glass doors are several layers of outdoor enjoyment: a covered porch with seating and a large gas BBQ grill, a patio with an additional dining area as well as more cozy lounging next to the gas firepit, and a large grass area for additional outdoor enjoyment. The aspen groves lining the creek are a wonderful place to tie-up a hammock. Just up the creek on the other side of the cottage you'll find the outdoor shower for a blissful outdoor refresh or pup cleanse.
The cottage is perched above and back from the lake, which is just a short peaceful walk away. Though it is public, Sophie Lake has the feel of a private lake. With the public entrance at the Southwest end, even on the "busiest" days, serenity abounds on these turquoise waters. Our retreat is located at the North end and is directly across from protected forest land that blooms with wildflowers in the summer and is home to all kinds of wildlife. While we are currently unable to provide you with paddle boards or kayaks, we welcome you to bring your own. Evening paddles on Sophie Lake are definitely magical! The stargazing and sounds of nature are surely not to be missed.
